Swoon

So, I've completed my first swoon block.  There seems to be some puckering in the middle block and I'm thinking of getting my seam ripper out, but for now I will let it be.

  1. Love your color choice! I don't think that I would rip anything. It will all work its way smooth when quilted!

  2. Oh Swoon. What a lovely quilt. I think that puckering would probably disappear after you quilt and wash it. But, I'm a lazy quilter so take my advice with a grain of salt! Anyways, looking forward to the other eight blocks. I finished Swoon earlier this year but have yet to photograph it. It's such a great pattern - enjoy!

  5. I love the Swoon, was it tricky to piece? I'm a novice and would like to give it a try.

  7. beautiful Swoon block! I agree with some of the other commenters that the bit of puckering will likely be inconsequential when you quilt it, and wash/dry it!

Thank you so much for sharing at Needle and Thread Thursday!

  8. Love Swoon! Great colors, and I wouldn't worry about the "puckering", it won't be noticeable once quilting!

  11. I love swoon, I am sure the puckers will quilt out. But if your worried you could iron your seams open to reduce the bulk. I also used quite a bit of starch when I made mine. I made mine into a king sized quilt and I love it. One day I plan on making another!
